Research Infrastructure
Welcome to the Office of Research Development and Infrastructure. Among some of our activities to help faculty, our office assists in organizing special workshops, conferences and special meetings.
Federal sources of funding for research and scholarship are likely to be flat or declining over the next decade. Rice must equip faculty to seek funding outside of the main stream federal agencies.
To help faculty be successful in this less common approach to fundraising, Rice is offering two half-day workshops December 10th and 11th, 2012. Sponsored by the Office of Research, the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations, and the Office of Faculty Development these highly interactive programs are designed to be high impact and efficient for busy faculty. Participants will leave each one with concrete next steps if they are just starting out, or individualized critiques if they have more developed ideas. Moreover, representative sponsors will provide insights in panel sessions about their experiences working with Rice University to fund faculty scholarship.
