Center for Computational Insights on Inequality in Society

The Center for Computational Insights on Inequality and Society at Rice (CIISR) is co-directed by Dr. Elizabeth Roberto (Assistant Professor of Sociology) and Dr. Corey Abramson (Associate Professor of Sociology). CIISR focuses on the transformative application of computational methods to address complex social issues through innovative research, collaboration, and education. CIISR aims to combine computing power, large-scale data, and advanced methods to generate new insights and solutions; encourage collaboration among faculty across disciplines, industries, and national and international partners; enhance graduate and undergraduate education by providing robust training and integrating computational social sciences into the curriculum; and translate research into actionable, evidence-based insights for policymakers.
