The Biomaterials Lab has hosted their fifth annual Biofabrication Workshop on March 8th, 2022, covering recent developments in the area of bioinks and biofabrication.
This year, the workshop returned to its traditional in-person format. More than 20 participants attended the workshop and were excited to have the opportunity to meet with fellow researchers and the presenters in-person.
The guest speakers for this year’s workshop included Dr. Elizabeth Cosgriff-Hernandez from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Sang Jin Lee from the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and Dr. Karthik Tappa from the M.D Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Uday Jammalamadaka presented a step-by-step demo on creating anatomical models using sample micro-computed tomography scan data and various slicing methods for 3D printing. The workshop ended with the lab tour and a discussion on available resources for researchers.
