DESCRIPTION
The Sony SH800S Cell sorter is for performing flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACs) experiments.
The machine is equipped with four excitation lasers (488nm, 405nm, 638nm and 561nm) and six emission filters that allow detection of a diverse range of fluorescent proteins and labels.
The machine uses disposable microfluidic sorting chips that are available in three sizes (70 µm, 100 µm and 130 µm) meaning a diverse range of cell sizes.
This machine can sort into a variety of formats including tubes, 96 well plates and 384 well plates, offering flexibility for downstream analysis.
The machine uses Sony software to setup and analyze sorting and flow cytometry experiments.
FlowJo software is also available IN BRC 220 data analysis room for advanced data analysis.
