DESCRIPTION
This instrument replaced the old Axioplan2 scope with Metamorph software. Zeiss Axio Imager M2 upright microscope is capable to perform epi-fluorescence imaging in combination with transmitted-light brightfield, darkfield and DIC. The system is equipped with series of objectives, Plan-Apochromat 10X/0.15 DIC dry, Plan-Apochromat 20X/0.75 DIC dry, Plan-Apochromat 63X/1.4 DIC Oil, Plan-Apochromat 40X/0.95 DIC dry - with correction collar, EC Plan-Neofluar 40X/ 0.9 Pol dry (brand new), Achroplan 40X/0.85 water dipping (on request), Plan-Neofluar 100X/1.35 DIC Oil, with complete DIC sliders and corresponding modules/analyzers. A collection of fluorescence filter cubes allow imaging from blue, green, red and far-red regions It also has mechanical stage 75x50R and heavy duty focusing drive motorized (for x,y,z movement) with 10 nm step size. Two Zeiss cameras are available: AxioCam 105 color camera (12-bit cooled CCD and AxioCam 503 monochrome camera (16-bit cooled CCD without RGB mask. The Zen Blue Pro 2.3 software allows automation of objectives, apertures, filter cubes, illumination, specimen stage, etc. Varies of live-imaging and post-imaging processing/analyses can be performed also interactive measurement, multi-channel and multi-dimensional acquisition (multi point x,y position, Z-stack). Image labelling, scale bar, panorama, manual extended focus and varieties of measurement options are also available. Transmitted light source: Illuminator Vis-LED Reflected light source: X-Cite 120 Mini LED System Wide field epi-fluorescence/transmitted light microscope
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note: The Zen Blue Pro 2.3 software is currently lacked of an advanced deconvolution image processing module. However, it allows deconvolution image to be acquired (with the Z-stage software controlled) and users can process the acquired data using other deconvolution software available at BRC (NIS – Element) or by using ImageJ/ FIJI. The old PC for Metamorph software is still available for use free-of-charge. But please do not use while somebody is working in the room with the new AxioImager M2 microscope.
