DESCRIPTION
The Agilent MSD XT Single Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (Single-Q) offers high-speed and sensitive performance for small (nominal mass) & large (average MW) molecule applications. The system is equipped with an ESI source, and Agilent 1290 Infinity ii Binary LC pump with a multi-port column switching valve. The column switching valves enable users to perform flow injection analysis (FIA) or to perform LC-MS analysis on one of the four provided HPLC columns. The MSD XT serves as the facility’s walk-up quick usage instrument, with run times ranging from 3min for flow injection analysis up to 15 min for separations carried out on an LC column.
Users needing longer LC analyses, customized mobile phases, or targeted quantitative analyses should use the Agilent 6470B Triple Quadrupole (QqQ) LC-MS system.
Users with high resolution/accurate mass MS needs should inquire about access to the Agilent 6545XT qToF LC-MS system.
