Training for this instrument usually consists of 1 one-hour session. To schedule training, contact Dr. Gang Liang (gang.liang@rice.edu ext 3626). Once training is finished, you may request access to the room from Gang Liang. Specifically, key card access is required.

DESCRIPTION

This is a high voltage sputter coater which uses an Argon-ion plasma and a planar magnetron to coat samples, mostly for SEM use.  A variety of targets are available, including Au, Cr, C, Pt, Ti, and Al. It is equipped with a crystal thickness monitor.
