DESCRIPTION
EDXRF
The Shimadzu EDX-8100 energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer is a versatile instrument designed for convenient qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis with minimal sample preparation. It offers high sensitivity to elements ranging from sodium (Na) to uranium (U). Equipped with a silicon drift detector (SDD) and an ultra-thin-film window, the system can also detect ultra-light elements such as carbon (C), oxygen (O), and fluorine (F) under vacuum conditions.
The EDX-8100 accommodates up to 12 samples, which can be measured automatically in sequence. Its standard-less quantification algorithm allows for rapid analysis of a wide range of materials without the need for calibration standards. Both solid and powder samples are easily loaded, and a pellet press is available for preparing pellets suitable for vacuum analysis.
