Rice University’s Arts Initiatives Fund (AIF) supports experimentation and collaboration in creativity and the arts across the entire campus.

With the understanding that face-to-face interactions and discussions facilitate the development of new international partnerships, the Awards for International Collaboration (AIC) aims to support travel-related expenses necessary for faculty members to catalyze or deepen ties with partner institutions of strategic significance to a department, School, or the University.

The purpose of the Doerr Institute's Leader Development Innovation Awards is to encourage and support faculty contributions to the development of students' capacity to lead across the University, through innovative teaching, curricular innovations, and relevant research.

The University of Edinburgh and Rice University have identified each other as strategic partners to foster deep collaborations in research and education. The Rice- Edinburgh Strategic Collaboration Awards (SCA) have been established to facilitate and support joint initiatives that will strengthen the two universities’ strategic priorities as well as develop multi-disciplinary cutting-edge research to create academic and societal impact. We invite proposals from researchers in all disciplines at Rice and Edinburgh.

In this round of the SCA, applicants are encouraged to submit funding proposals for innovative and sustainable programs built around collaborative research linking Edinburgh and Rice. Proposals should be sustainable in the long-term with a plan for engagement that includes leveraging external funding and publication outputs.

Rice University's Inquiry-Based Learning Fund awards competitive grants of up to $10,000 to departments/units that oversee the curriculum of a major, area major, or interdisciplinary major/minor. Grants are intended to fund integration of experiential inquiry and research into the undergraduate curriculum of a major, area major, or interdisciplinary major/minor.

Rice University’s Office of Technology Transfer is pleased to offer patent cost relief to startup companies founded by junior faculty who are new to entrepreneurship.

The Provost’s TMC Collaborator Fund is a competitive fund for Rice faculty in all disciplines that awards seed grants for new collaborative research projects with faculty of TMC health-related institutions.
