SAKE Virtual Practices & Tools
Developed by K-12 teachers, this document is a list of activities, instructional tools, and lesson plans, which can be useful while teaching in virtual synchronous and asynchronous environments. While we believe that no device is a replacement for high-quality teaching practices, this instructional guide can be used as a starting point to assist teachers in understanding the variety of resources available to them.
Elementary Global Climate Change Curriculum
Developed in collaboration with NASA, the Global Climate Change Curriculum, helps elementary teachers introduce climate change through inquiry based activities. Note: All activities are aligned to the 2009 Science TEKS, and may require updating to align with the current TEKS standards.
Rice Excellence in Secondary Science Teaching
Originally developed for the R-STEM Rice Excellence in Secondary Teaching (RESST) program, these resources are now available for wide use. RESST is divided by subject. Note: RESST lessons are aligned with the 2009 Science TEKS, and may require updating to align with the current TEKS.

Teach Engineering Lessons
Developed by interns in the R-STEM Research Experience for Teachers (RET) programs, these lessons are grade level specific. The lessons use the engineering-design process to engage students from the elementary to high school level. The lessons cover a wide range of topics, including: nanotechnology, nano-enabled water treatment, and computer engineering.
