About the fellowship

HENAAC scholarship recipients continue to pave the way for future generations of Hispanics and lead by example to empower our communities and enhance our nation’s professional technical workforce. The scholarship addresses the immense need that the United States has to produce more domestic engineers and scientists. The HENAAC Scholars Program offers three types of scholarships: Corporate/Government Sponsored Scholarships, Special Recognition Scholarships, and In Memoriam and Personal Tribute Scholarships.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Demonstrate merit through academic achievements, leadership, and campus/community activities.
  • Be pursuing a science, technology, engineering, or math degree.
  • Have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Be of Hispanic descent and/or must significantly demonstrate leadership or service within the underserved community.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program for the upcoming fall semester, at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university in the U.S. or its territories.

Award amount

$500 to $10,000; Information on the types of available scholarships can be viewed here.
