About RET

Rice University offers several research internships for teachers in the fields of nanotechnology, computer science, and other fields including bioengineering, biosciences, and evolutionary sciences. Click here to see a list of past RET interns and the names of their research posters!

Teachers from the Greater Houston Area are eligible to apply for all of the research internships below! Please submit a separate application for each internship you are interested in.


RET Programs

Nanotechonology (Nano RET)

Nanotechnology Research Experience for Teachers is a year-long program for Greater Houston Area teachers. The program includes a 6-week internship in a nanotechnology research laboratory at Rice University, seminars, presentations based on research done at Rice, and school year workshops.

Virtual | Summer Web-Based Institute for Technologies in CompSci and Healthcare (SWITCH)

The Summer Web-Based Institute for Technologies in CompSci and Healthcare (SWITCH) program is a free 6-week summer research program for computer science, technology, and programming teachers. The program includes virtual networking, participation in university research, presentations based on the research done at Rice University, and lesson development.
